Where is Heritage going as a church? Our vision at Heritage is to “Love, Connect, Serve and Invest.” This simple and practical 4 part vision comes straight out of God’s Word, and you are invited to be a part of what God is doing at Heritage.
Love God
"`Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. (Matt. 22:37-38)
Our priority is to genuinely love God with all of our hearts and to be devoted to following his son, Jesus Christ. This kind of love is only possible when we surrender ourselves to him and his Spirit fills us to overflowing with his love. We encourage our church family to spend daily time in prayer and Bible study to connect with God, and to come together on Sundays to worship with God’s family.
Connect with Others
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34-35)
As God fills us with his love, it overflows to others, so we want Heritage to be a church where we love one another well and where we all enjoy a sense of community together. We want to show love and care in practical ways, and always welcome newcomers to enjoy that same sense of belonging with us as we grow in numbers. Toward this end, we encourage everyone to join a Small Group where these kinds of friendships can flourish as we grow in faith together.
Serve from the Heart
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others... (1 Pet. 4:10)
We want everyone at Heritage to discover the joy that comes from serving God and put their gifts to use by serving on a ministry team. Imagine what a difference we can make in this world if we all put the love of God into action! We encourage everyone in our church family to find a place to serve and jump in.
Invest in People
“Go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matt 28:19)
We want to see Jesus become famous around the world, so we are committed to helping others become followers of Jesus Christ. We encourage every Christian to make a commitment to reaching others with the love and truth of Jesus in our daily lives, in our local community, and around the world.
