Gary Rea
Gary grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and has been leading worship since he was 12 years old. Gary has a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Gary was the leader of the Peculiar People Band, and in 2003 they came to tour the U.S. In July, 2003, while visiting for Pastor Rob and Natalie’s wedding, they connected with Maranatha Records and Gary and his wife, Kerry, settled in San Clemente. They’ve been attending Heritage ever since.
Peculiar People Band finished their commitments and wrapped up in 2005 and in February, 2006, Gary came on staff at Heritage as the Director of Worship & Worship Development. Now Gary is raising up new worship leaders within our church, with a special emphasis on youth, and is training them to use the gifts God has given them in their own ministries.
Gary, Kerry, and their children Ethan, Kingston and Gracie live in Talega/San Clemente. Some of Gary’s hobbies include surfing and golfing.
Gary has produced three worship CD’s that are available for purchase. Go to GaryReaWorship.com for more information.
