Mike Fanning

Associate Pastor

Mike and his family have been a part of Heritage since 1996. Mike has served the church in many capacities over the years, but in 2003 he started working for the church full-time. Mike is the pastor overseeing the Small Groups Ministry, the Welcome Ministry, and also takes care of our church facilities and administration. Mike teaches classes for new believers and has a great heart for evangelism and discipleship. Read more...




Phil Matarazzo

Pastor of Counseling & Recovery
Phil has served for many years as a counselor and has been involved in many recovery and support groups. Phil started the first recovery groups at Heritage many years ago with just a handful of people. In 2004 Phil joined the church pastoral staff overseeing all the recovery groups, pastoral counseling and mentoring.  Read more...






Bruce Wegner

Bruce and his wife, Sandy, joined Heritage Christian Fellowship in 1994 when their church, Marvista Community Church, merged with Heritage. Since then Bruce has served as an Elder. He and Sandy have also provided oversight of the homeschool ministry and regularly taught marriage and parenting courses. Read more...

Gary grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and has been leading worship since he was 12 years old. Gary has a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Thomas was born and raised in San Diego, CA for the first 13 years of his life.  He was raised in a Christian home, attending private schools all the way through high school but did not come to the realization that God was very real and wanted his life, until he almost lost it.  At around 20 years old he started attending Heritage.  During the past five years he has attended a couple different colleges seeking "his path".

Biff and his family have lived in San Clemente, CA for the past two generations.  While attending Shorecliffs Middle School, Biff attended many youth groups, but  it wasn’t until he was as a senior in High School on a missions trip to Mexico, that he gave his life to Christ.
